Seminar in Entrepreneurship TrainingInterested in offering teacher training in your community? The Jacobson Institute for Youth Entrepreneurship and the John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center are happy to partner with AEAs, community colleges, state departments, organizations, and local schools across Iowa interested in offering educators entrepreneurship training. We will work directly with you to develop a customized entrepreneurship training program designed to meet the needs of your educators.
For more information, contact Dawn Bowlus 319-335-0985 or In collaboration with the University of Iowa John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center (JPEC), the Jacobson Institute provides face-to-face entrepreneurship training for high school teachers, along with interested middle school and community college educators in Iowa. Since inception of the entrepreneurship secondary teacher training program in summer 2000, more than 330 educators from 220 school districts across Iowa have participated. Teachers learn strategies and methods for incorporating entrepreneurship education across disciplines. Training includes overview of entrepreneurship, opportunity recognition, innovation and creativity, entrepreneurial finance, and business planning.
