Be Your Own Boss - Entrepreneurship Day Conference

Priority will be given to schools who have received the Running a Business Plan Competition Mini-Grant.

March 6, 2009 - Cedar Falls, Iowa

The Jacobson Institute for Youth Entrepreneurship along with the Iowa's five Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Centers provide Iowa high school and college students the opportunity to attend a one-day entrepreneurship conference. The all day program brings together students and educators for a day of networking, brainstorming, listening to speakers, and education.

While learning the nuts and bolts of business ownership, participants:

Hear start-up stories from young entrepreneurs who started successful businesses while in high school or college,
Attend sessions designed to assist young people in turning their hobbies into businesses,
Network with other students interested in or operating businesses,
Learn about the entrepreneurial classes offered at Iowa colleges and universities.
